Heston & Heston is a small law firm established in 1981 with our main office located in Irvine and a branch in Riverside that primarily focuses on bankruptcy, estate planning, and probate. They represent individuals and businesses throughout Southern California.
Richard G. Heston and Halli B. Heston have more than 40 years of practice experience and are both Certified Specialists in Bankruptcy Law. Richard Heston was also a Certified Specialist in Family Law from 1992 to 2017.
Benjamin R. Heston has been practicing since 2014 and his sole focus is bankruptcy law.
Halli B. Heston
Halli Heston earned her undergraduate degree at UC Irvine and her J.D. at Southwestern Law School in . She handles bankruptcy cases for individuals and small businesses as well as estate planning and probate. Ms. Heston is a Certified Bankruptcy Law Specialist by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California and has held that position since 1994. Ms. Heston's legal career includes reported appellate decisions, speaking engagements, as well as public service and providing volunteer legal services.
Halli grew up in Los Angeles and has lived in Orange County where she and Richard raised their three children, since 1980.
Richard G. Heston
Richard Heston practices in the areas of consumer and small business bankruptcy law. He has been certified as a Consumer Bankruptcy Law Specialist by the American Board of Certification since 1995. He was previously certified as a Family Law Specialist by the California Board of Legal Specialization from1992 to 2017, when he elected to devote his practice exclusively to bankruptcy matters. Richard served on the State Bar's Bankruptcy Advisory Commission, acting as Chair in his final year. He is a past member of the boards of directors of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and the American Board of Bankruptcy Certification. Richard is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars concerning the intersection of bankruptcy and family law and is highly regarded in these fields. Richard is a graduate of UC Irvine and Southwestern Law School.
Richard is a native of Orange County where he and wife Halli raised their three children, and now enjoy spending time with their five grandchildren.
Benjamin R. Heston
Benjamin Heston is also a graduate of UC Irvine and Southwestern Law School who handles bankruptcy cases for individuals and small businesses. Although Benjamin does handle Orange County cases as well, he is the firm's primary attorney in our Riverside office. He has a strong background in public service and volunteering. Mr. Heston has served as Vice-President of the Riverside County Barristers Association, an organization primarily dedicated to assisting young attorneys in their transition to their new careers.
Benjamin and his wife, Lacey, are raising their two sons, Elijah and Ezra, near UC Irvine where Lacey is attending graduate school working to obtain a doctorate in sociology.
